Hello! Welcome to TCH Consulting!
I can dazzle you with compliments and promise you the best service in the world but instead I will introduce myself and tell you a bit about what I’m hoping to do here.
My name is Tessa Cai (pronounced Cay) Halmshaw, I’m a 24 year old, don’t let the age fool you, female from the West Coast of New Zealand but after a stint in Wellington I’m about to make my way back to Christchurch with my little family that consists of a wonderful partner and two beautiful doggos.
After an early high school finish I started working for a contracting company on the coast where I learnt a lot about what I wanted to do with my life, with and from some very talented people. I learnt that my dream job as a hair dresser was not for me (good thing my best friend is one instead!) and that I loved the simple pleasure of a perfect filing system or a well working spread sheet. I learnt that organising systems and having a tidy server made my OCD sing and that was what I wanted to do when I grew up. File things in a way that makes my OCD happy 😁.
I very much enjoy working out ways to do things that take half the time it took before. I love taking an average looking form, adding some colours, a logo and awesome formatting to make it a great, well functioning piece of beauty.
From contracting I went to college for a while, took some awesome photos and went back to work for an asbestos removal firm and most recently an asbestos consulting and analysis laboratory, an industry I have now been in for five going on six years, in roles ranging from administrator to accounts manager to operations manager.
I’m currently completing a Diploma in Payroll Management and a Certificate in Business Administration to help me help you!
Personally I am a straight shooting and reliable person. I prefer not to sugar coat things and hold honesty in the highest regard. I’m the oldest of a big family so being organised, assertive and sometimes, unfortunately, bossy comes with the territory.
I have tattoos and blue hair with an obsession for books that rivals even my Daa’s, and that’s an achievement I’m proud of! I love dogs, all of them, and will happily drop everything I’m doing to pat one walking within my line of sight. I get a huge amount of joy spending time with (and spoiling) my darling niece and nephew and hanging out with my very cool, eight younger siblings. My favourite colour is purple.
A question I get asked a lot is yes, I am as organised in my personal life as I am in my work life, from the bookshelves to the kitchen, everything is organised… even my spices are alphabetically arranged.
In my wildest dreams I run a successful consulting firm from the comfort of a book filled office, perhaps with one of those ladders in the old large libraries, with the ability to foster dogs from Christchurch Bull Breed Rescue until they have the wonderful opportunity to become a permanent part of another family.
Since my favourite duck is always telling me to follow my dreams, I will do exactly that.
TCH 💜
(If you stuck with me throughout my babbling you’re awesome! Thanks for the support 😊)
